Multiple spent shell casings were found near the apartments on Sunny Slope Road after police tracked down a car carrying to women near Finderne Avenue and East Main Street around 3:30 p.m., Acting Somerset County Prosecutor Thomas Chirichella said.
No shooting victims have been reported to authorities from this incident. Detectives from the Bridgewater Township Police Department along with the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit responded and are conducting the investigation.
Acting Prosecutor Chirichella, Chief Fodor and Chief Payne request anyone with information relating to this shooting to contact the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit at (908) 231-7100 or the Bridgewater Township Police Department at (908) 722-4111 or via the STOPit app.
